About
I am an Assistant Professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin’s Data Science Institute and Department of Biomedical Engineering, where I lead research in computational imaging, Bayesian machine learning, and explainable AI. I am also the Founder and CEO of Pelagia Labs, developing personal life management tools and work automation.
My research spans:
- Computational Imaging: Advanced reconstruction algorithms for MRI and electron microscopy
- Bayesian Machine Learning: Plug-and-Play Priors and Consensus Equilibrium frameworks
- Explainable AI: Differential geometric approaches to understanding neural network representations
- Inverse Problems: Model-based optimization for scientific imaging
I am particularly known for developing the Plug-and-Play Priors framework, which has been adopted by over 100 research laboratories worldwide and is used in commercial products including Samsung Galaxy smartphone fingerprint sensors.
